1] I don't think that's true. Women like all types of guys. Personally I prefer taller men because I'm quite tall myself ..
2] I feel safer with a tall man and also some short men seem to have a chip on their shoulders because they feel inadequate about their height.

Among the ten answers I have received so far, I rated the first answer above as the best of them all. Because it is quite correct that ladies could not really proof that they actually prefer tall guys. The moment they have been able to get all those comforts even from a short man, they would forget all other criteria
